NB:
To get the right relationship between the head and the handle, it is important that you crochet with the right needle size. If you crochet loosely, a smaller needle is necessary to get the right proportion. Therefore, first crochet the cover of the stool. If you have crocheted approximately the same number of rows as stated in my book for the top of the seat of the stool, then you have the right needle size for the correct ratio. If you have crocheted fewer rows then you need a smaller needle.
A larger head is more likely to sag over time and you also run the risk of not having enough yarn with this yarn package (because you need more for a head that is too large).
